2021 Jang Young-sil International Science and Culture Award Grand Prize in Medical Device Category

Yang Ki-dae, director of Korea Jintech Co., Ltd., was selected as the grand prize winner in the medical device category of the 2021 Jang Young-sil International Science and Culture Award held at Press Center on April 30, 2021 and attended the event. KID-CLEAN Epiguard, an award-winning technology, is composed of natural compounds and has been registered as an OTC Drug by the U.S. FDA. In addition, through experiments conducted through the College of Veterinary Medicine at Seoul National University, it was confirmed whether it can kill bovine coronavirus (BCoV) and its effectiveness in killing airborne viruses. Furthermore, its effectiveness in killing the COVID-19 virus (COVID-19) was confirmed through clinical trials at Calamba Doctor's Hospital and Medical City Hospital in the Philippines.

The Jang Yeong-sil International Science and Culture Award, established in 1999, honors the remarkable contributions of Jang Yeong-sil, a pioneering scientist of his era. This prestigious award recognizes individuals and organizations that have achieved significant advancements in science, technology, and innovation, with a particular emphasis on their impact and achievements in various industries, including agriculture.
